We have had this exercise ball for a year now. I've read a lot of negative reviews saying it's scary and unsafe for rats, but my rats love it. They literally jump in when we put it in their cage. We have 6 girls and when we bring the ball to the open door of their cage they all try to get in the ball together (we don't let them of course). They love the freedom to roam outside the cage. One of my girls walked up to our screen door and just sat and sniffed the fresh air. Some other girls like to run and run around the house. You have to keep an eye on them while they're in the ball. The plastic on ours cracked after about 6 months of use so I'm not sure if it's the best quality but they seem to like it anyway. We don't leave them in the ball for long either. 15-20 minutes is more than enough. I like that it's clear. It just seems that transparent is easier to see than colored. Although who knows. Overall I would recommend using this for pet rats. If your rat doesn't like it, don't use it, but some seem to really like it and it's good exercise. I try to make my reviews interesting and useful.
