Bought these for Christmas as they are bright in color and they make a lovely bright Christmassy touch anywhere. After washing once, I decided to put them away to take out on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July and then again the next Christmas. The size corresponds to the declared, they are made of thin cotton, sewn decently. But I've found that I prefer the softer, larger, heavier, and thicker cotton napkins that you sometimes find in restaurants. And after a wash in cold water I can see the red color fading a bit so I prefer to save the color for special occasions. There were no problems with stains. In my opinion, they need to be ironed, which is a hassle I don't want to go through on a day-to-day basis.
