I used these to fix 3 windows that were making a horrible grinding noise when raising or lowering the windows. If you are mechanically inclined, you can replace the broken gears in the power window. You save a lot of money compared to buying a new engine assembly. Factory fitted gears are made of plastic which becomes brittle over time and therefore will wear and break, causing the gear to slip and therefore squeaking and the windows not being able to raise/lower properly. There are several tutorials on YouTube for replacing this mechanism.
