First a disclaimer: resin printing is not for children and you must be careful and responsible. If you need a children's printer, please understand the difference and buy an FDM printer. Resin is a really bad thing. I use Elegoo resin and honestly the smell doesn't bother me at all. it is very soft and not very uncomfortable. However, tar is a MAJOR skin irritant. You will learn quickly. I tried to follow the safety guidelines, but after cleaning the first print and removing the gloves, I think I accidentally tripped over the tiniest particle of this material on my knuckle and found after about 10 minutes that I had the scratched knuckles. I look down and see that my joint is pink, inflamed, and itchy. A quick wash with soap and water and after a minute it's like nothing happened. Even if you think nothing hit you, wash your hands after handling wet resin. Don't let uncured resin affect you. You will regret it. As for the printer itself, the prints have fantastic detail and I've had no issues with the prints not sticking to the bed or failing. Being the obsessive explorer that I am, when buying a product like this I read all the bad reviews on Amazon to try and avoid any pitfalls I might encounter and my machine ran into a problem. There is a small hex head screw on the back of the build plate mount. Its only purpose is to prevent the build plate from falling off when you loosen the leveling screws. Make sure you have this screw when you receive the printer! When I removed the lid after unpacking, my screw fell out and got lost in the Pinter's bed area. Had I not noticed this, the bed might have fallen off while leveling and might have damaged the LCD screen. The only reason I even knew what the screw was for was because of some bad reviews I read, so thanks for that! Elegoo - please put some thread lock on it and save everyone the hassle. Another note: the printer is delivered without resin. I found this out again by reading other reviews. I went with clear resin and honestly don't recommend it unless you have the option of using a piece that looks like frosted glass. Clear resin takes 33% longer to print and if you need to fully cure (cure) it will turn yellowish anyway (see photo). I guess I should have looked more closely at the resin but I assumed they were all the same.
