Review on EcoPlus HGC728450 Eco Air1 Commercial Air Pump 1 - 18 Watt Single Outlet for Aquariums, Fish Tanks, Fountains, Ponds & Hydroponics – High Flow, Silver by Misty Caldwell

This pump is POWERFUL and while some may find it noisy it all depends on where you put it. It's not quiet, but it's perfectly acceptable. However, there are a few minuses, but they are quite minor.1. The hose supplied to connect to the pump outlet MUST be secured with a tie down or clamp. If you don't, it will pop out when there is back pressure.2. As mentioned in some other reviews, this pump is REALLY HOT and transfers that heat to an aluminum manifold connected to a 1/4 inch pipe. Can be crafted so that this is not a problem. 3. The air inlet is a large opening (a little less than 1/2") so large dust/dirt particles and bugs can and will be sucked into the pump unless you fit some kind of filter to the inlet. My solution was to use small zip ties and secure with a thick piece of polythene over the hole If you have exceptionally dirty air and use a bubbler to get clean air in this pump is perfect These are the problems that the 4 stars and with those issues in mind I recommend this pump if you need a lot of air and are looking for a small form factor pump.
