Review on πŸ¦• Melissa & Doug Dinosaur Chunky Puzzle: Roaring Fun for Little Hands! by Raymond Iglesias

Reliable, long-term investment in a toy

I got this puzzle on a lightning deal so the price was just perfect. I've had my eye on this set of puzzles for a long time, so I was excited to see them! I've argued between peg-out puzzles and thick puzzles, but ended up with short puzzles for a number of reasons: - although thicker pieces are more expensive, they can withstand more impact - pieces are thick enough to stand on their own, so they can be doubled up. Wooden figures for "imaginary game" (we use them with dice). Smaller hands will find it easier to grip the thicker pieces than the tiny pins. I know that Melissa and Doug sell big handle puzzles, but I felt like my son was outgrowing them too quickly and I was getting the best bang for my buck. so that the pieces are the right weight for them. Unlike some of Melissa and Doug's other toys, they don't seem to just have a sticker on the front that can be peeled off (or vacuumed off, since everything goes in the mouth at this age. The edges of the pieces are painted). and smooth. Age wise, I love that they can be used for so many ages. I bought these for my son when he was 9 months old so obviously he was a bit young to put a puzzle together. At first he just put the pieces in their place and now at 11 months we go through and practice animal sounds. In the end, he can assemble the puzzle himself (Note: I know the recommended age for this product is 2+ years. Use your own discretion as a parent to make the right choice for your child)
