Small shelf but plenty of storage, top could be deeper
I needed a small shelf (less than 10 inches) that would fit on my desk next to monitor stands and other shelves. It was perfect and fits all my art supplies quite nicely. A6 sized notebooks fit either in drawers or horizontally on a shelf (as well as vertically on a top shelf). However, large art supplies such as tombow markers will not fit. My only concern is that the top of the "wall" of the shelf isn't very high, and even when filled with pocket-sized notebooks (5.5 inches high), they can tip over very easily with the slightest impact. I would recommend putting things no larger than 3 inches on the top shelf unless you never come across a table/table.
