I needed a small shelf (less than 10 inches) that would fit on my desk next to monitor stands and other shelves. It was perfect and fits all my art supplies quite nicely. A6 sized notebooks fit either in drawers or horizontally on a shelf (as well as vertically on a top shelf). However, large art supplies such as tombow markers will not fit. Although a little smaller than I imagined, this item is almost perfect for my home mailbox where I can put stamps in the box, my little scale on top (to highlight a bit) and also my return address stamp above. The first arrived literally in pieces, which isn't surprising as the shipper put it in an unlined PVC bag (which even had a hole ripped through rough handling).
