I've bought two of these in the last few months. One of them works great. The other doesn't work. The one that doesn't work properly has video playback problems. The problem is that the screen is smudged with blue pixel video noise. It also periodically loses sync. In this case, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then reappears (still covered in junk pixels). As it sat on my shelf for a while before trying to use it, unfortunately it expired after a couple of weeks. . I buy a lot of gear, most of which is used on other people's projects, so sometimes I buy gear to have on hand before I really need it. So I'm left with an expensive piece of junk, even though I only unpacked it yesterday. As there are several other reviews describing similar video issues, this doesn't appear to be a one off issue with the device. . I have had good success with Star Tech products and recommend them often. But stay away from it.*** I'd like to add one more note to that. Revain arranged for the KVM to be replaced with a working one and they will replace the unit even though it was outside of the return window when I unboxed it.
