Review on 🎧 Enhance Your Audio Experience with LG Sound Bar PK8-S 2.0 Channel - Wireless and Mountable in Elegant Black by Melody Watson

I recently bought a LG SK9Y 5.1.2 500W Hi-Res Soundbar and these speakers have been nominated as an optional extra . The sound quality of this soundbar is amazing. We've had two JBL fish finders in the last 8 years and have been reasonably happy, but the price/reviews and the option to add wireless rear speakers were too tempting. It almost ended in disaster! PROBLEM The soundbar and wireless subwoofer produce amazing sound, but the rear speakers should have been the icing on the new cake. Setup was easy and I definitely recommend downloading the LG WiFi app. But even at full volume in the back, no sound came out of the rear speakers. I read and read the limited documentation and finally found the cause. The rear speaker controller uses 5GHz to communicate with the soundbar. If, like me, you have a dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi router and you're on a 5GHz channel, the rear speakers just won't work properly. I also had a Wi-Fi range extender for one side of the house - also with dual 2.4/5GHz bands. SOLUTION To be honest, 5GHz is not that valuable to me. It offers higher data rates but at a shorter distance. We are very happy with the 2.4GHz environment, so the solution was simple: disable the internal 5GHz radio system in BOTH the router and the WiFi extender. The moment I did that the rear speakers sprang to life and they are great. I hope my journey with this helps someone. In my opinion, the sound system is worth the money! :-)
