2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ Very easy to install. The installation took a maximum of 10 minutes!

Instructions were easy. Although the instructions were written as if I were installing new LED headlights in parallel. I was not. I wanted to reroute the factory headlight power from the switch on the steering column and through the new wiring harness directly to the headlights. This increases the voltage on the headlights and should result in brighter headlights. This also diverts current from the headlight switch and prevents the normal "burn-in" of the headlight switch. I checked the voltage at the factory headlight connector and found it to be 12.5 volts with the car off. I was a little surprised that after installing a new wiring harness the voltage dropped to 12.2. But I suspect it may have been because it was sitting with position on and taillights on while the battery was getting low. After I installed the wiring harness and started the car, the voltage across my headlights was 14.4v with the engine running. I forgot to test the factory wiring harness while it was running for comparison. I will say that after installing the wiring harness and driving in the dark the lights get a little brighter, not 50% brighter like the other reviewer claims but brighter. . Maybe when I switch to LED headlights (right?) there will be more of them? Even if the headlights weren't dimmed, I'm glad I installed a more reliable wiring harness with a fuse and two resistors in the harness and not letting all that voltage flow through my factory headlight switch.
