Review on iCarsoft LR II LandRover/Jaguar OBD II Scanner Tool: ABS, SRS, Oil Reset, DPF by Matthew Goozmer

As we know, on this particular RR the foggy 'Service Required' message mysteriously appears after starting the engine with no warning or apparent reason. There is no indication of what type of service is required, it just means the LR dealer needs to reset it. After servicing the car, of course. this message and the lack of a corresponding oil gauge or other indicator (not sure if newer years have the same message). In any case, this tool resets the message. You need a Windows computer, I dug one out of the closet and booted it up with Vista OS. I almost couldn't remember how to use windows haha. Go to icarsoft website and download the update tool according to the instructions. Update the mini SD card (comes with USB 2.0 adapter). After that, the tool will be updated and ready to use. Easily connects to the obd2 connector with the included cable. The menu is very intuitive with the Land Rover selection. This tool also scanned some codes that were stored, I had no idea they were hiding in the Ecuador/car's processor. They are called error codes. Diagnostic Trouble Codes. I've tried deleting them to no avail. I haven't spent much time on it. I was mainly concerned with clearing the "Maintenance Required" message, which again was successful. Conclusion: A great tool. Definitely worth buying.
