The dealer wanted to charge me for 1/2 hour work in the store.

The dealer wanted to charge me $338 an hour for 1/2 hour of work, so $169 + tax for resetting my air spring. With this device I was able to do it myself for less money and without an appointment. (Note: I have a recurring issue where the system detects a low level in the reservoir and disables the air suspension. The dealership has already spent 3 weeks fixing the issue but it still occurs and should just be reset, the dealership plans to re-investigate the issue in a few weeks, but for now it…

Limited support for Range Rover P38 and TD5 Trucks

This is a great device at an affordable price. But to use it you need to use it with the latest Land Rover. The documentation for the device claims compatibility with the second generation Range Rover (P38) with a BMW engine. As expected it did not work with my 1999 Range Rover P38a HSE with Bosh/Motronics Rover 4.6 V8 engine (NAS specification). Sad as I bought it specifically to read the codes on this truck. I also tested it on Defender 1999 and Discovery 2 TD5. In this case, the management…

2011 LR Range Rover Reset 'Service Required' Message

As we know, on this particular RR the foggy 'Service Required' message mysteriously appears after starting the engine with no warning or apparent reason. There is no indication of what type of service is required, it just means the LR dealer needs to reset it. After servicing the car, of course. this message and the lack of a corresponding oil gauge or other indicator (not sure if newer years have the same message). In any case, this tool resets the message. You need a Windows computer, I dug…

The update guide is a total mess ** More

Not very good yet. The update process as in the manual does not work for me. There are no executable programs on the supplied SD card. The upgrade instructions say to plug it into a USB slot with an adapter. Nothing happens and check the files for autorun files. Then go to the website and there is an option to download the update tool. It's a RAR file that needs to be unzipped with 7Zip or similar. The unzipped folder does not contain the "install" program, so I assume when they say it needs to
