The update guide is a total mess ** More

Not very good yet. The update process as in the manual does not work for me. There are no executable programs on the supplied SD card. The upgrade instructions say to plug it into a USB slot with an adapter. Nothing happens and check the files for autorun files. Then go to the website and there is an option to download the update tool. It's a RAR file that needs to be unzipped with 7Zip or similar. The unzipped folder does not contain the "install" program, so I assume when they say it needs to be "installed" they mean unzipping it to a folder on the hard drive. There is an executable file. At startup, the Update, Manual and Help menus appear. Select "Update" and 2 bin files will be offered. Pick one of them and "don't reply" is all you need. The scanner is currently connected and the SD card is in the scanner. The PC cannot query the scanner for files. **Read More - I've downloaded several other files and am trying to figure out which one is the right one. I finally managed to update the device properly. I tried it on my 2000 disco 2. There doesn't seem to be any more functionality to this car than the Autel I bought about 5 years ago. This reads all ABS codes, o2 and gives the same results. Cleans them too. I have yet to test drive my wife's LR3 to see if this car has additional features that I don't get with Autel. I will update the review in a few days.
