Limited support for Range Rover P38 and TD5 Trucks

This is a great device at an affordable price. But to use it you need to use it with the latest Land Rover. The documentation for the device claims compatibility with the second generation Range Rover (P38) with a BMW engine. As expected it did not work with my 1999 Range Rover P38a HSE with Bosh/Motronics Rover 4.6 V8 engine (NAS specification). Sad as I bought it specifically to read the codes on this truck. I also tested it on Defender 1999 and Discovery 2 TD5. In this case, the management needs support for them. I can say that it doesn't work properly, at least on trucks with the first generation of the TD5 (P10). Some features are supported, others are not. The ones that don't work return false/false readings. The tool may run on a second generation TD5 (P15 or later) with the latest NNN control box, but who knows. iCarsoft needs to provide the specific models they have tested their device with. So on trucks with a TD5. It did not work correctly on the following vehicles: - 1999 Defender TD5 (P10 engine) with old MSB ECU, rest of the world specification. - Discovery 2 TD5 1999 (P10 engine). ) with old MSB ECU, specification for the rest of the world. Will have to test Disco3/4, later Range Rover/Sport and Defender Puma, but I've seen reports that they work well with them. Final comments, hopefully iCarsoft will update their documentation to indicate which TD5/ECUs have been certified or at least include support for the Rover V8 Bosh powered Range Rover P38.
