Good light output but glaring for cars

I'm a bit disappointed with this light set. A few years ago I would have thought it was a great sauce. Given today's light and technology, I'm less impressed. A special feature of this set is the display in the light. This is a measure of how much time is left on the battery. I have rarely found these readings to be accurate. This is the nature of lithium batteries - they will be fully discharged for most of the usage cycle and then abruptly discharged. The light on the steering wheel is dim. I have used screws on plastic brackets on various lights in the past and all have failed on the screw connection. This lamp does not protect against glare from oncoming vehicles. Luckily, it's not that bright, so there's less glare on the eyes. It's still bright enough to make cars in the oncoming lane angrily flash their headlights when pointing at the bike. It's not a problem for trail use, but I don't think this light is bright enough for me in this use case. When driving in the dark, I really need a lot of light to go far in the dark. The tail light is ok but a little big for the amount of light it puts out. It produces some decent patterns but doesn't look any better than much smaller lights. I'm spoiled by small automatic headlights with a brake sensor. This rechargeable flashlight would have been a bomb a few years ago, but today I'm lazy and don't want to hit the button to turn it on and off. Especially not a few clicks.
