For professionals, choose 1800ep pro, it will save you money in the long run.

I have been using Telesteps 1600e for 4 years and they are definitely consumer quality and probably only for the average homeowner. I say this because I've gone through 3 of these in 4 years, but I use them almost daily as a roof inspector. I don't usually carry anything up the stairs besides myself and a tool belt, so no more than 220 pounds. Thought I'd spend the extra $$ and get the Pro version this time. So far I'm impressed, it works the same as the 1600 but much more reliably. The only downside is that it's about twice the weight and therefore not as easy to transport, but only time will tell how the 1800 will hold up compared to the 1600. I expect it to offer at least twice the service time of the 1600 for its better design and heavier weight (I hope heavier = heavier components for longer life). version because it should give you more maintenance time in the long run. For your average homeowner, choose 1600. Still a very useful ladder, but not intended for everyday use.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Fading
