I ordered 8 BC which my son wears and 8/10 although I was hesitant and started ordering 10 so with that if he weren't short, WELL 8 was more than i would have liked, i think 7 would be perfect just hoping his outfit looks right because too big or too small can change a person's looks. The quality seems ok, it's not thick flannel like I prefer but it's definitely not easy button down material lol. it has a kind of flannel feel, so I'm fine. I'll come back and update the photos
