To be honest, this rating is based on first use. I just received the heater today and I'm offering what I can. The box survived delivery and the inner box was damaged in one corner, but the product was fine. From the looks of it, it was "new". The controls are very simple and intuitive. The top mount makes it easy to see and access the controls. The temperature dial or switch doesn't have a colored tip or pointer, so you can't tell at first glance whether it's pointing at 12 o'clock (off) or 6 o'clock (almost fully on). See photo. The fan is moderately loud - not quiet and not too loud. The power values of 750 and 1500 W are very accurate. I used an ammeter to test 36W with fan only, 780W with fan plus low heat and 1512W with fan plus high heat. There was a power surge for a few seconds when selecting heat. However, the amperage quickly normalizes back to the specified values. To quantify this for anyone interested, the initial peak when selecting Low Heat is 960W and drops to 780W within 5 seconds. Similarly, if a high heat load is subsequently added, it initially jumps to 1755W and then drops to 1512W within 5 seconds. Overall, this product met my expectations of use. I will update if an anomaly occurs.
