The colors are a bit dull, not as bright red and gold as I was hoping for. Dragons and other markings are dull and blurry. The ad says it holds 13.5 ounces, but without the brewer and using Keurig and a 10-ounce tea bag, it fills almost to the limit of safe carrying. The lid fits with or without a filter, which is fine if you don't want to use loose tea, but it doesn't retain heat as well as other cups/mugs I've used. Overall this is a good teacup and if you don't have OCD or are expecting wow! factor, it's not a bad buy. I'm not sure I would personally spend $17.99 again.
