Review on 🔋 Bostitch Vertical Battery-Operated Pencil Sharpener in Vibrant Purple (BPS3V-PURPLE) by Barbara Simmons

We've had this sharpener for a little over a year. I should have known that kind of blade would be worse. In fact, this is a small manual school sharpener for kids, but with a motor. I was saddened when my trusty 20 year old battery powered Bostitch sharpener died. It has worked great every time and I rarely changed batteries (but to be honest I haven't used it that much). I figured this type of blade would be something new (it seemed to be very popular!) so I'd give it a try. It was certainly a good price (I paid about $12 after tax). The battery is fine, we use it a lot and the engine seems to keep running. But the blade just doesn't compare (in my opinion) to a spiral blade like my old Bostitch. I feel like it worked well in the beginning so we kept it. Now, 13 months later, disappointment outweighs effectiveness. Today he ate almost half a pencil and still hasn't sharpened it. I would not recommend this product to anyone who already knows the simple pleasure of getting a reliably sharp pencil every time and in just seconds with a screw-on blade.
