Review on Impressive ISpring CKC1C Countertop Filter Housing for Clean Water by Juzer Rashid

I bought this specifically for drinking water, cooking water and coffee. I chose to do this for several reasons: 1- It just didn't make sense to filter all the water. house through a KX filter when all I really need is the level (and cost) of filtration for the water I'm going to consume. 2- A simple (5 micron - 10 micron) whole house sediment/carbon filter to protect plumbing and improve water quality. - Linear filtration life. (also removes most chlorine from shower water) 3- This unit can accept standard 10" x 2" filter elements such as KX Matrikx filters which can remove many more contaminants. 4- I can easily change the filter without emptying the cupboard under the sink. crawl under the sink and strain your back. 5- If it ever leaks I have a much better chance of finding it before major damage occurs. 6- I can easily remove it, use it in my RV and reinstall it at home. . . . no double costs. I would give 4.5 stars if I could squeeze the air out. I'm not sure yet if this has a negative effect, but there is an air pocket at the top of the filter and tiny bubbles form on the surface of the case overnight. I tried unsuccessfully to "burp" him. I'm concerned about mold, but the transparent case lets me see if a problem is developing. I will update the information when I can find out.
