Bad signal when working - which rarely happens

Unfortunately, due to other things, I missed the return deadline for this, otherwise I would have sent it back. At first I thought the USB extender was the problem, but it doesn't get any better than plugging directly into the tower. Works too hot, keeps losing signal, needs to be removed and reconnected. I've tried both the suggested driver download/instructions and plug and play, no difference. Win10 works. Really waste of money. Doesn't take long enough to load a website let alone work or play.
