Review on High-Performance Orbital Finishing Tool by Chicago Pneumatic CP7225 by Dakota Afzalian

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Costs money!

I really like this sander. Now I've assembled this AM (air connector, 3M pad, etc.) and used it to prepare some parts. It took me a while to get used to it because it's 3/32 and not 3/16 like I'm used to. My first Hutchins 4500 offset sander which I have used for 17 years. (still works) Anyway, I'm painting Cromax Pro Waterborne and thought it would be best for prep work because of the thinner offset. My goal is to minimize sand scratches as much as possible, as Waterborne doesn't fill in gross scratches at all. it doesn't hide bad bodywork either, but I digress. Grind! So pluses. This is a GREAT finishing grinder, which is why she bought it in the first place. Today I polished, also EXCELLENT. It's louder than I was hoping, but if you turn the volume down by about half, you're fine. Unfortunately I can't waste time on ANYTHING on a fixed price job, so there's a reason for 4 stars out of 5. Would I buy it again? Maybe I'll try 3/16 and see if I like this one better.
