We have installed these APs for some of our customers. They are currently deployed in 9 different LANs. This allowed us to test and see the results in multiple environments.1. connectivity. The connectivity is reliable. A medical customer was using Sonicwall's SonicPoints and had a terrible connectivity issue due to interference from various MRI, ultrasound and other medical equipment in an office saturated with other wireless networks. These access points fixed this problem. 20-30 devices are connected at the same time and there are no complaints about disconnections.2. Range - I'm disappointed with the range of these APs at 15, 20, and 25 feet (I haven't had a chance to test more), they measure signal strength to within +/- 10% of the signal strength of the SonicPoints they replace. If you are in a large area and go from point a to point b, you will smoothly switch from one access point to another without losing connection, although, like with SonicPoints and other access points, I have sometimes observed a short-term loss of connection . Speed - I noticed a slight increase in speed. I didn't compare it as thoroughly as I did with the range, but there wasn't any "holy shit, these things are fast" reactions when moving the data. 4. Attitude. They are very easy to install and configure using a Java application that can be installed almost anywhere on the local network. I rated these 4 stars because they are aesthetically pleasing, easy to set up, and have a very reliable connection. I deducted a star for the disappointing range. If you're looking for a stable connection, this is for you. Want a speed boost? Only when upgrading from Wireless G.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
