Music CD-RW TDK

I bought these CDs to use with my Philips CDR 760. Apparently Philips no longer supports these CD burners for service and writable discs. Why, who knows? I have used TDK drives before and they have worked fine. I have also used Memorex which has also worked well. Over time and after multiple write and erase cycles, I found that TDK, Philips, and Memorex RW drives eventually gave up and stopped working. I read that there is a code on the hard drive that needs to be read before the hard drive will work. This code should degrade over time and is not visible to the device. This read loop must work, otherwise the disk will not work. In some cases, the machine reader degrades and no longer reads the data carrier code. If this is the case, the new discs will not work and the problem is not the discs but your device. These new discs that I bought were delivered on time and in good condition when I received them, but I found that my device could not read them. Is the problem in the drive or in the car? I still have a few Philips RW drives that I use but I'm sure like many others they will fail. I really enjoy burning old music records and even backing up CDs to take with me in my car because with this machine I can debug by deleting a problematic track and then repeating it. Without RW discs I have to live with my mistakes. CD burning will one day be a thing of the past
