2 problems: (1) When cleaning the filter, coffee grounds get stuck in the metal filter that comes with the French Press. If you love cleanliness and germs this will drive you as crazy as me. It's a shame I didn't buy the thing, it's not suitable for me because the filters can't be cleaned thoroughly. See my second photo. (2) The filters on this French Press are thin metal wires, and if they break off while brewing coffee and are swallowed, they could cut you inside or into your esophagus. This is according to a review done by a nurse in the same thread. I photographed some loose wires so please see my photo. Each of my metal filters has about 5 loose ends that snag my fingertips when washing. In hindsight, I wish I had bought a French Press with paper filters, if only for peace of mind so I wouldn't accidentally choke on the metal and injure myself.
