I am very happy with the HT-A2 that I bought. This allows me to use infrared light to see relative differences in the temperature of objects that would otherwise remain invisible to me. Some application examples: 1. At night I see the location of fresh dog poo.2. I see a slight increase in the temperature of a cold kettle's power cord as it heats the water.3. Based on the bonnet temperature, I can see at a glance which cars were last driven in my area. I can walk dark paths on cold nights and see people in the distance. Some technical characteristics of HT-A2:1. I measured a horizontal field of view of about 45Β°.2. It can save images in JPEG format 240 x 320.3. Average image size of 45 saved images: 157 kilobytes.4. Image storage capacity: about 3.22 gigabytes.5. It doesn't have a microSD.6 slot. The refresh rate of thermal image data is approximately 10 Hz.7. It has no video recording capabilities.8. Has a small LED spotlight.9. The size is about 1.5 credit cards wide, 1.5 credit cards long and about half the thickness of a credit card. Notes: 1. I haven't tested the battery life often, but it seems to last at least half an hour continuously with no indication that it's dropped below half capacity (I've never fully discharged it). 2. I wouldn't use it for scientific measurements of absolute temperature because the sensor (microbolometer I think) isn't cooled. Has a micro USB 2.0 socket that allows you to download and delete images.
