This is the best Ecolar for my needs. Most ecocollars are designed more for sports/hunting and are characterized by increased durability and maximum water resistance. I don't need any of this and I don't need it. I just need a collar that works well in places like a recall dog park. I would not recommend this for bulldozer dogs. The shock is not strong compared to other eclars I have had. I know because I've gone through all 7 levels of correction before using it on my dog so I can better gauge the effects of using it. My standard poodle is already trained and a pretty sensitive boy. I almost never have to do anything other than page him. The remote control is probably my favorite part for its sleek design and intuitive controls. Every other remote I've used has been too clunky and bulky. The backlight was handy too. Holds a charge well and has a decent power reserve. I ended up sewing the collar to keep good contact because the perimeter is a bit loose. Overall I got exactly what I wanted.
