I never write a review but felt the need to return to this purchase in February. I read other reviews about this artificial mangrove root in aquarium water. However, as with most reviews, I decided to give it a try, hoping it wouldn't happen to me. I was wrong. I really liked the look of this mangrove root in my aquarium. It drove me crazy, the tank felt full. However, I had problems with the water parameters and decided to completely empty the tank. When I pulled this out of the tank I smelled an awful smell and a ton of mold was coming out of the root. The SMELL was awful and I can't even describe the smell. I read in other reviews that the root caused an odor in the water and that prompted them to remove it. Mine didn't smell in the water so I didn't realize this root was causing problems in my tank until it was removed for other reasons. So be careful with that. Now it's in the trash after being used and loved since February. Lesson learned, buy real driftwood instead. In the end it's worth it.
