Review on πŸ’§ Stay Ahead of Water Leaks with Ecowitt WH55 Wireless Leak Detection Sensor & Powerful Audio Alarm by Fred Griffin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well for leak detection and uses AAA batteries

Overall I'm very happy with this sensor as it detects leaks quite well. It has a little siren that makes a noise to get my attention, which is good. It also syncs with my GW1000 so I get a text and email every time the alarm goes off. The best part is that it uses AAA batteries. The old water sensors I have in my water heater and dishwasher use expensive lithium batteries with hard-to-get pills. This sensor only uses AAA batteries, which I have quite a few! We'll see how long the batteries last, but I'm hoping for at least a year. This sensor has a sensitivity setting. Mine sits by the toilet to check for leaks in the water line or tank. Since it is in the bathroom, I had to set the sensitivity to low, otherwise the humidity in the room would trigger the sensor.
