POOH! BIG CONSTRUCTION FAULTS!

We have several of these ABO Gear Kitty Compound cat playhouses. They have major design flaws.1. The "rope" you thread through the center section to pitch the tent is cheap plastic, and if left out in the sun it will rot and fall into pieces, leaving you unable to open and close the tent. . We're in Arizona and the sun is beating down, but this is ridiculous. Use real rope! 2. Side straps are easy to tear and break. When this happens, the tent cannot withstand in any way. Recently (12/20/2017) we bought a new tent, now 04/21/2018. The side post had already broken when a friend tried to close the tent to move it. $75 down the drain! 3. This is probably a nitpick, but why doesn't it have an opening on the other side so you can connect the tent to the "amusement run" for more than just an end point? In addition, it is very difficult to zip up the fun trails to the tent hole. We love the *idea* of this and wish this company would produce these tents and trails properly so they don't fall apart in 4 months! Or create decent competition in making similar products so people can choose between multiple companies. We paid $75 for it and now it's $71.67 and not even close to that price. We advise you to look at something better than ABO. Gear products. We've had at least 6 "playhouse" tents, 20 (yes, twenty) "amusement rides" and even a few "crosses" that we believe are no longer made. We bought a little over half of these at once, and they all had major problems. Even the ones we bought 4 months ago. In addition to what was mentioned above: - On "fun barrels" the strip of fabric that holds the metal spool in place that shapes/holds the barrel open punctured the fabric when it was new. Very dangerous, sharp ends on metal. The same fabric dissolved in the sun, making the fun dangerous and then utterly useless. Many zippers had to be reinforced by sewing. It would also be nice if they had a sliding locking mechanism like luggage so your pets can't just open them. We used baby diaper needles. Not the best choice, but we thought it was the best choice based on ease of use. Fabric zips used to connect/close a tent or purlins sometimes don't fit holes *at all* and you have to struggle to get them to work, making it more likely that zips will open and release your pet unexpectedly. Or fabric with a zipper separated from the mesh. yes it happened :(One positive thing - the black mesh has faded and turned an ugly gray on most of the ABO Gear items we have, but it hasn't rotted or fallen apart yet. If you need something for a very temporary situation, this might work However, before you put your pet in it, check *ALL* the stitching and poke the zipper with a safety pin, otherwise they may come undone terrible things. Don't leave her alone in this situation. Hope this helps!=< ` ; ` >=
