Review on NiteRider Pro 1800 Race Black by Adam Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's bright and it works.

Pros: Delivery was fast! The NiteRider system is easy to assemble and install. The battery pack attaches with Velcro straps and buckles so it is securely attached to the bike. The cables have Velcro straps to attach them to cross tubes, down tubes or goosenecks. The handlebar mount is adjustable for different diameters and only requires the turn of a hand screw to install. The headlight bracket has some horizontal adjustment and requires tightening of the hex bolt [hex wrench included] to lock it in place. The light has different brightness levels and flashing modes - fast flashing, slow flashing and SOS flash [3 short, 3 long, 3 short]. It comes with a helmet mount and everything is packed in a nice nylon holdall. As a frequent driver like me, it's a bit frustrating [I use the light in flash mode during the day and stay on all the time at night]. I worry the most about wired connections - the connections are connected in a certain way, and the connectors are made in a way that the connections are not obvious. It is very easy to damage connections. Suggestion - Buy a marker with white paint and after connecting correctly, draw a white line [traces] on both connectors and let it dry. This will make it easier to connect them properly in the future. A Deutsch connector or similar might be easier if NiteRider updates it for future buyers. Last question - would I spend the same money on this product again? Yes. I give it 4.75 stars but a little product improvement would make a good product great.
