I bought this projector for my astronomy club who use it for public presentations, schools and scouts. I already had experience with a few older models. In fact, it is vastly improved in several respects. Of course, the possibility of using it with HDMI, as well as USB and SVGA connections. While previous projectors also had keystone correction, this version adds an extra feature that lets you tilt the image from side to side, which is a handy feature. The remote control has a few tricks of its own. Best of all, you can insert an on-screen pointer to point at something. You can leave your red pointer at home. It has a brightness of 2800 lumens and is bright enough that it doesn't need a long cool down period before completely turning off. 3CCD is one of the factors that gives much better color reproduction and the lens is sharper than I remember from older projectors. The USB capabilities of using flash drives etc. may not be fully utilized for your purposes as they only work with some types of images and not power point. The latter is to be expected since you really need to use a tablet or laptop with PP or its free reader. I wasn't expecting it to have a speaker, but it does, although it certainly won't fill a large room. This is normal for very small groups. It comes with a nylon projector case, and the case has a bit of room for some cables, but it's small. cable, but that's no big deal. We're good with our gear, but it might be worth getting a more durable hard case for travel if you enjoy travelling. I recommend Pelican brand covers. The essence of a computer projector is image quality. We need a very high image quality to optimally display our astronomical images. This one does. It's HD at 740p, which is good enough for our purposes. Right now, no one makes an HD 1080p projector at this price and quality. I imagine this will be a future upgrade of the model but hopefully it will keep the form factor of this model and not the bloated home theater projectors that cost A LOT more money. Convenient automatic keystone correction and level adjustment make setup quick. This has now been in use for about 2 years and is often used outdoors at dusk to project astronomical settings to the side of our observatory. Even at dusk it is more than bright enough to be clearly visible. There are a few newer models that include wireless, but I've seen reviews mentioning that they're not that good as they only work with a limited number of file types. To be honest, it's better to use a wired connection.
