Good for Low/No Traffic Areas

I used this rug for my living room which is near to the front door. The rug itself is beautiful and incredibly soft. HOWEVER.and this is a big detractor for me.it is impossible to clean. The base of the rug is a very thin foam and the shag is legitimately faux fur. Because of this, it can not be vacuumed at all. Because the base is very lightweight, and the fur is long and thin, any vacuum I use lifts the entire rug into the vacuum. I have used a Dyson upright with and without the use of the roller brush. I have used a Black & Decker handheld vacuum with a roller brush. I have tried a smaller weaker handheld vac as well. All 3 suck the rug into the vacuum. So, I had to resort to hanging the rug up outside and sweeping/beating with a broom. Also, the fur does not hold up well in high-traffic areas. After one month of use, the area in front of the couch where I sit is rubbed almost bald. In just a few hours of sitting each day, the fur is rubbed off. My husband sits in his recliner so I am the only one that sits there. In this area, the rug is separating from its fur base. I don't anticipate keeping this rug long as I don't think it will hold up to the high traffic area for more than 6 months. If you have a sitting room where people perhaps don't frequent as much, then these rugs may work for you. Otherwise, there is a reason why this rug was half the price of other area rugs of similar size. Value for price.meh.it was a cheap price, which matched the quality.

Cons
