Review on ๐Ÿพ Improving Pet Safety: Carlson Extra-Tall Flexi Pet Gate by Andrea Sciuto

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best very high, very wide and flexible gates priced at

I read many reviews before buying this gate and in the end I decided that if I didn't have much more money I would would like to spend would try. I was warned it was very thin so wasn't surprised when it really was. However, I think the price I paid for Revain was worth it. We had another 6ft accordion for 9 years and all was fine until we took over the camber. So it's really difficult to find a very tall gate with a 6 foot span that you don't have to constantly exit via the opening. So I wrote to Carlson and asked them if I could "fold" these gates and then move them when I wanted to close the room and they said yes, that's what they're made for. Well, it wasn't intended that way at all. It is permanently attached to each side. All you have to do is use the gate door or get creative and leave one side unfastened and come up with a way to just attach it to the open side if you want to stretch it like a bungee cord, or install and use the brackets around some hooks attach to hold that last post in place, which is what we did. Another thing is that you can't use the included tiny screws to attach it to the rack through the drywall. It won't be enough. Just use longer screws. Nothing bad. As for the weakness of the gates, they are really cheap quality and not designed to be "folded back" to one side so you have to leave the caps unscrewed a bit which makes them weaker. I can't speak for a destructive dog, but I know it gets in the way of little jumper who just wants to lay down on the living room furniture. I'm not sure if this will withstand much abuse. If you think a cat door will let your cat in and not a 60 lb dog then you are deeply mistaken :) I have another gate with the same door and my new addition goes through the hole until he is about 60 years old. lbs. I would block it just a bit so the cat can get through but not the dogs. I have another very tall gate that is pushed against a regular door. Please note that this is also not the best idea for a real creative tramp. She just pushed him away from the door. You'll have to get creative bringing in a grown up mean little boxer who's been antisocial and has never lived in the house, but you can win! In fact, I just grabbed her when we went this far. Eventually she calmed down a bit, which prompted me to find a gate she couldn't jump through. It didn't make much sense before. She would only find a way to break it. The only problem now was that she found the human couches quite comfortable and forgets to dry her feet before entering the dog door :). Nonetheless, I hope the review helps. There are some much nicer wooden gates that fold but cost significantly more money. If you are willing to spend more money I would not buy this gate. If you're looking for a decent gate that will keep a non-destructive dog away, this is for you. Well, if you don't care that it's ugly, ie. It really isn't lol!
