I had problems with a similar Penny's pepper mill for years and cursed it every time I used it. The ceramic millstones weren't worth a damn, and I had to seal the bottom with duct tape from the start. Then one day I pushed the button and the whole pad fell out of the suitcase and into my CHILI! So I taped that part off and also put a rubber band around the batteries to keep them inside and started looking for a replacement. to save my sanity I saw this one in stock at a VERY good price, noticed that it was stainless steel rather than plastic and had a metal grinding mechanism. The six batteries were a temporary shutdown, but hey, maybe they would work better. I took the plunge, charged it with 6 3A batteries and now have a smile every time I use it! Grinds flawlessly, lights up every time and kickers. Tape is not needed!;0))PK
