GREAT VALUE AND PRICE

AMAZING VALUE AND PRICE I bought this WiMiUS P20 projector after browsing various options for several days. I chose this brand and model because of the features and the price. And I agree with what other customers say after only trying it for three nights. I'm really very satisfied and worth the extra $100 I paid to travel from Miami to my city (Asuncion, Paraguay). Especially when I remember that my Infocus X2, which I bought in 2004 (and still works, 480p), cost me $1,000 in my country (since 2004). Images are very clear, contrast is excellent and colors are vibrant. I tried it with the lights on and as expected the quality drops a bit. But the best cinematic experience is after dark (in other words, do you go to cinemas where the lights don't go out while the movie is showing?). And the performance is exceptional in dark or dim conditions. The seller is honest: I recommend using it in the dark. A blur in one of the corners is also mentioned. But with movies, sports, and TV shows, what's in the center of the screen and around it matters (that's how the human eye works). So blur is irrelevant for me. As sources I have already used: a flash drive, an external 1TB drive, a Fire TV Stick (not 4K) and Deco TV. The FHD pictures on Netflix are great, as is Deco TV. The contents of the FHD flash drive and the hard disk as well. The only difficulty is that the projector's internal player displays subtitles (SRT files) in a very small size and there is no option to resize them. The only option is to play on a laptop (e.g. with VLC Media Player) connected to the projector with an HDMI cable. I haven't connected a laptop or Blu-ray player to the projector yet, but I'm sure it will work without any issues. The manual does not describe that the projector has a removable air filter. I discovered this when I opened the box as it was sticking out a bit. Slides in and out smoothly, slides back in and out for easy removal and cleaning. It's on the left (lens on the right), closer to the front. The sound from the built-in speakers is good, but I planned to connect my 5.1-channel devices from the start. It's a wonderful experience! It comes with all the cables described and a remote control that allows full control of the device, only focusing has to be done manually via the lens ring.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen
