All the plates arrived in good condition with no cracks or chips but not all were the same and consistent in shape. You could tell by the way they were folded. Not a complaint, just an observation. The color is not as bright and beautiful as the photos in the catalogue, they are darker and more brown than yellow. I understand they are made from pressed and dehydrated palm leaves so we cannot expect consistency. I use them to serve sandwiches and snacks, but if you're serving something juicy, be aware that the plate gets a little soggy. At the same time it does not get wet, the plate remains strong. I'm not sure how they are made. Does the process involve a hot press? I will find out and come back here. This would be a good guarantee that any bacteria or living organisms would be completely destroyed.
