I keep losing my cheap thermometers from the supermarket so it's great that they come with a magnet on the back. Thanks to a great 2 pack deal I have one for the kitchen and one for the BBQ. A good long needle gives your hand some relief from the heat while you wait for a reading, which takes about 5-10 seconds for me. Updated 10/12/19. So I've had and been using them for a while and unfortunately it's not the "deal" I was thinking of. I kept one outside on the grill and one inside on the fridge. The screen on the outside is often filled with condensation in hot or cold weather. Although it seems to recover in a day or so. The one that never comes out is far from accurate. There seems to be a way to calibrate them, but I can't figure out how and I can't find anything online. I plan to take the ones I use outside inside and replace them with a better known and better maintained model that is waterproof. The inside will most likely just be thrown away.
