WHY ESCALI PRIMO: I bought this scale after reading its recommendations on many forums, blogs and bread maker review articles. I am not at all disappointed with my purchase. MY USE: I use this scale daily and it works great. I mainly use it to weigh things like leaven, flour, and water. Weighing things like flour, which sometimes sticks to the sides of a container, or water, which sometimes splatters, is more difficult than something small and hard like a nickel. a few tests to make sure it's accurate. I am fairly confident that this scale will give accurate readings no matter what is being weighed. The tare function makes it very easy to add multiple ingredients to a container by weighing them individually. And when it matters to you, the scale actually shows negative readings (like removing an item you just weighed). OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: There is a good range of colors; I bought the red one and am very happy with it. There's a reason I prefer this style/design (with a raised circular weighing platform, with control buttons on top of the scale in front of the platform) to my other scales (which have a smooth, flat surface - it's all a weighing platform). . Since both scales are equally accurate and the other scale is definitely more attractive, you might think I would prefer the other. Now, while I like the look of the other scale, there is a downside to the design. Because the on/off button is on the front, it's easy to hit. Scales often turn on accidentally. This is a real annoyance for me. There is never an accidental button press with these Escali Primo scales which I think is a huge plus! TOTAL: I like this scale. I love the fact that it has a well deserved reputation for consistently satisfying performance (good reviews on many different websites). It's a workhorse that never lets me down. I would recommend it to friends and family as well as anyone reading this review. If you've found this scale, I think your search is over; is to buy the scales!
