These extra nuts are needed to secure this latch.
Additional hex nuts are required to attach these parts. You will need two hex nuts M8-1.25, grade 10 coarse and four hex nuts M6-1.0, grade 10 coarse. They are available from Home Depot in packs of 5 for $1.80 and $1.35 respectively. A standard zinc plated finish will work and last if you use lock washers or some type of Loctite thread lock.
