Works great on Mini 2nd Gen! I think the bad reviews are because it wasn't actually made for the 3rd gen, despite the description implying that. The only problem is that I had to apply 12v to the footwell module to get power and there is no switchable power in the hood. At first they blinked a bit strangely, but when everything worked everything was fine. They turn on and off with the headlights.
