Review on PANASONIC LUMIX MIRRORLESS Thirds H H020AK by Li Mei ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

Very beautiful, super-compact, but less and less relevant. I am writing to warn you. Many people buy 20 / 1.7 II to use as the main one, but this is just problematic. Strong continuous focus noise will not allow you to shoot video, and all recent MFT cameras with 4K. Professionals started to seriously use the LUMIX for video only - G-80, GH5 and especially GH5S. 20/1.7 II is definitely not for them. Manual focusing with video will not help either, because. carried out by the engine. Everything can grow together if, on the contrary, it is used as a fast and versatile addition to any zoom. 20/1.7 II weighs nothing and comes with a case. There is also a limitation here. It is fast, but it is absolutely not suitable for sports shooting, because. very slow. Foreigners, complaining, write about the focusing time of 1 second. I have 0.5 sec with Panasonic. The equivalent of 40mm is also a compromise solution. I, for example, with a lens equiv. 30-35 mm I can click the shutter to the right and left, and with 40 mm I already need to choose the angle. If you ask some tourist to take a picture of you with a company and he fills up the horizon (always), then after cropping the frame, there may be nothing left of the background, because “zoom with your feet” works well only for foreground objects. But here everyone has their own scope and their own set of optics. DOF and portraits. At f1.7, slightly turning the head and focusing on the front eye, the second eye is not in sharpness. At f2.0, this effect almost disappears, and at f2.8, both eyes are clearly in sharpness. On one of the foreign sites there are more than 105 thousand photos taken with 20 / 1.7 and 20 / 1.7 II, you can often see frames without contrast. You will also have to forget about panoramic shots. If the thickness of the lens and the focus of 20mm are not an end in itself, take a closer look at the more promising 25 / 1.7 and 15 / 1.7, etc. Rating 20/1.7 II - definitely 5. Pancakes are a separate segment that will always be in demand due to their small thickness and weight.

Do not change the old version, take the new one if the price is equal.

Its pros: Light Compact Focal length "slightly wider than fifty" With its cons. There is no distance scale, which is convenient in street photography Noticeable vignetting wide open No lens hood

Has some pros Compact, sharp, light. Inexpensive for its features. Different cons: Focuses very slowly (loudly). It's just not suitable for video. Focal 40 mm equivalent - neither here nor there.

If compactness is not critical, Olympus 25 1.8 will be better in everything.
