Total newcomer! I'm very smart but new to this type of construction. This set is impressive. I got lost doing it! The instructions come with detailed photos, which is just great exercise. They rely on common sense and ingenuity, but they're basically very simple and easy to bypass and adapt if you're having trouble. The end product is just amazing. It took me several weeks to complete and I would say around 50 hours in total. But oh my god, it's worth it! I'm overwhelmed with pride in the little world I've built. They give you a lot of extra material and everything is really high quality. I am shocked at such a low price! I recommend an X-Acto knife, some super-clear quick-drying glue, some more tweezers, a ruler, and maybe some paperweights to be able to hold things in place where they're needed. Sure, this set could have been made with just a pair of scissors, but I highly recommend x-acto! I really enjoyed making this set and have already ordered the next one to get started!
