Review on 🔝 High Volume Melling M55HV Oil Pump: Superior Performance for Efficient Lubrication by David Causillas

This pump was a high RPM Chevy 355 with a 7 liter sump. Works great for the app. Oil pressure is great. If you're using a standard displacement/head oil pump and your engine doesn't rev over 7000 RPM I recommend sticking with the new Melling #M55 standard displacement pump. Even if you put in a new camera or heads or whatever. I've seen these heavy duty pumps eat up the distributor and/or cam gear on small engines at low RPM in a week. They put a lot of strain on this gearbox. Leaves metal filings throughout the engine. Just something to think about. Happy engine building!
