Great until I wear it in the hot tub

This ring is beautiful. The shine of the center stone is clean, the cut is beautiful, but be careful not to wear it in a hot bath. I made this mistake and the metal turned black. After about 30 minutes of polishing, it returned to a silver color, but all of the metallic sheen was gone. I would like to buy one in 14 or 18k gold instead.
