When the board arrived it looked a bit dry (compared to our boards and bar) and I was curious what the MGF date was. But the board plays well and proves to be durable. The insertion holes are initially visible, but if the board breaks the holes will heal and provide the smooth cork feel you see on professional boards. It's entirely possible that this is the best bang for your buck. My 6 and 8 year olds have raced this board - and their kid throws are very solid and difficult to screw up. My first board was paper - don't buy a cardboard board! This purchase should replace my box in two months! Pay another $35 and you can buy this board 4 times more durable. I bought a unicorn board locally and it had a few blemishes and even mold spots! So I sent it back for my money and ordered this one instead. I ended up saving $10! Also, after purchasing it, I found out that the production of the board is indeed American! Again, this board might be the best value for money!
