Review on Replacement Chevrolet Passenger Partslink GM1321396 by Russ Charmin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Perfect fit, maybe a little more vibration than the original

After trimming the garage side and breaking the plastic on the original passenger side mirror I decided to leave the van new and have the mirror replaced. The instructions in the service manual were more complicated than what is actually required as long as you are careful when removing the old mirror. The manual asks you to remove/replace many parts of the inside of the door. If you don't think ahead, you even have to remove everything to get the electrical plug through the door where you can plug it in. However, if you tie a wire to the old mirror's connector before replacing it, you can "fish out" the new connector on the inside and don't have to remove nearly as much of the inside of the door. it is mostly closed. I was able to swap out the mirrors in under an hour - maybe as little as 30 minutes. When driving down the road I see more vibration in the picture than in the driver's side mirror (still original equipment) but I'm not 100% sure. that this was not always the case as the mirror is farther away. I've used the power adjustment features many times before (I tow a trailer a lot.) and it feels as smooth as ever. Haven't been able to use the heat up/defrost function yet, I'll update the review if anything comes up!
