Not a bad little thing. The quality is sufficient. If I were designing it I would give it a bottom (the bottom of the drawer is the bottom of the item) and more stops to adjust the angle of the easel, but it's not that hard to change. I can cut your own stops with an X-Acto blade and I'll probably cut some lauan plywood and glue my own bottom. I've included a snapshot of the extra notch I added which makes this thing a lot more convenient. .It looks quite nice, but for me it's not the main thing, it's useful. I can set this up and paint on the train or in bed, where it's often difficult to position a drawing board, or in other situations where you're not at a proper easel or drawing table. I wish it was a bit bigger, with a slightly deeper drawer. I find that some necessary art supplies are not suitable. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it could be a little better in every way, but it's good enough for what it does and doesn't just deserve a 3. 4 seems right. I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone who needs a small notebook support and even a small book to draw with next to the notebook. I can use it with a small notepad and my 7" Kindle with drawing books and courses loaded in it, and to my surprise it even works well with my really large hardcover sketchbook, which is about the size of a table and thicker.
